ElevAero is delighted to announce the production of composite cone assemblies for the XWB Aero engines at its site in Tipton in the West Midlands.
The cones now being produced at the facility are used to protect the front of aircraft engines whilst in transit, expanding on ElevAero’s existing position as a leading supplier of engine stands and engine transportation systems to OEMs and tier 1 aerospace industry customers. The recent investment in composite manufacturing capability is starting to prove a success with a high demand for engine cones and other composite parts. The future looks bright with the significant uplift in sales of the long-range Airbus A350 aircraft which utilises Trent XWB engines!

Acquired by ElevAero in 2023, the Tipton facility comprises 15,000 square feet providing bespoke tooling & fixtures, contour tooling, and composite components. Since January 2024, all three ElevAero businesses consolidated to trade as one business, ElevAero Ltd with a combined turnover in excess of £6 million per annum and a total of 34,000 square feet of facilities.
In February our AS9100 and AS9120 approval was extended to cover all 3 sites at Nuneaton, Aldridge and Tipton. The business utilises its 3 UK-based capabilities to produce supply chain solutions for the aerospace sector, including entry into the rapidly expanding composite tooling and composite component manufacturing market.
